Registration

Your registration at the practice entitles you to emergency cover and ongoing prevention and dental care for a two-year period.

We request that you attend for a minimum of one examination during this period to maintain your registration. If your registration expires, a £25 renewal fee will be charged to rejoin the practice.

At the end of your treatment, we routinely inform you when your next examination is due. The old adage that patients need to be seen every six months is now considered outmoded.

A recent study by the National Institute for Clinical Excellence (NICE) recommended that recall periods should be tailored to individual patient needs. At our Practice, we agree with these findings and as we get to know you, your teeth and your oral hygiene routines, we will decide what suits you best.

Recall periods differ – patients with extensive problems may need to see us every three months whilst patients with a healthy mouth may only need to attend once a year. We will liaise with you, to see what recall period suits your requirements the best.

Appointment Times

We always try to run to time. Our aim is to see all patients within 20 minutes of the given appointment time, but as you will no doubt appreciate, unforeseen circumstances may sometimes prevent this. Patients are always kept informed if the dentist is running late.

 

Missed Appointment Policy

We reserve the right to charge for lost clinical time caused by late arrival or missed appointments. Cancellation notice of 24 hours is required to avoid incurring charges.

We operate a zero tolerance policy to rude or aggressive behaviour against any member of staff or other patients. We reserve the right to terminate the registration of patients in these circumstances.

Payment

Payment will be requested at each visit. We accept cash and debit or credit cards.

Complaints

We aim to provide an excellent service and take all complaints very seriously. Any complaint will be dealt with promptly and confidentially. Please put any complaint in writing to Mr M Bishop and mark the envelope ‘Private’.
